Knowledge. Brotherhood. Integrity. Service. Unity.

Guided by five core values, Alpha Kappa Psi focuses on providing ethical leadership and professional development. Through educational programs, community service and a hands-on application of formal education, Alpha Kappa Psi students use the business skills they are taught in the classroom to acquire life skills such as the art of compromise, consensus building, project management, interviewing and networking.

If you want to set yourself up for business success after graduation and make great friends in the process, then you’ve come to the right place.

The Lambda Nu Chapter of American University

The Lambda Nu chapter was founded on September 25th, 1982, and is directly affiliated with American University’s Kogod School of Business. We are the only co-ed professional fraternity on campus dedicated to fulfilling the needs of undergraduate students seeking business related degrees. There are currently 67 active Brothers in the Lambda Nu chapter and 7 brothers studying abroad, most of whom are pursuing degrees in business administration, economics, or a business related international studies degree. However, we are a diverse group of talented individuals and encourage ambitious students of all backgrounds and majors to join us.

As Brothers of Alpha Kappa Psi, we all strive to uphold the Four Objectives of our Fraternity:

To further the individual welfare of its members,

To foster scientific research in the fields of commerce, accounts, and finance,

To educate the public to appreciate and demand higher ideals therein, and

To promote and advance in institutions of college rank, courses leading to degrees in Business Administration .
